ADM Productions was approached by the one of the directors at the Weilenmann School of Discovery to help make an awesome dance party at their annual school fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel in Park City, Utah.
This school is a charter school, aims to give their students a unique, private school experience, with a deep dive into liberal arts, music, and outdoor activities. They get less funding than the average school in the Park City district, and this fundraiser contributes to 20% of their annual budget.
The theme of this year was 1969, more specifically, The Moon Landing & Woodstock. I wanted the lighting & sound to match the theme, to give a more immersive experience. I brought a mirror-ball to give a classic look. We hang it off our classy stand, and shine a high powered light to give the whole room a mirror ball look.
The theme was the moon landing, and I wanted the Astor ballroom to feel like it was in outer space. I brought my battery powered uplights, and shown it as blue. It worked perfectly in tandem with the dedicated designer’s vision, and everyone loved it.
There was several different fundraisers, such as a silent auction, and a live auction, with items provided by the faculty, as well from local businesses.
We rocked the night to some of the best hits of the 60’s, such as “Sweet Caroline” – Neil Diamond, and “Shout’ – The Isley Brothers. We even had our uplights change colors an pulsate to the beat of the music. It was a blast, and I think it was a nice night out for the parents. You can see the DJ high light real below.
